This covers weeks 2 into 3 from seed for the little Purple Cheese Autos growing under our Pro Grow 260 MOD LED grow light, from HydroponicsHut.com …
In this video I demonstrate my method of transplanting seedlings as I move the Purple Cheese Autoflowers into 3 gallon, plastic pots.
Autoflowers are generally vigorous growers, with a shortened lifecycle, they try to make the most of the time they have. As a rule, I only like to transplant autos once – usually straight from whatever they were sprouted in, into their final, full-sized container by the second week from seed.
Usually by the 2nd day after transplanting, you’ll note they seem to really perk up and increase in the rate of growth. Many autoflower varieties will declare sex by week 3 – 4 from seed.
Give your autoflowers lots of root space (i.e., a large pot), a minimum size of 2 gallon pots, 3 – 5 gal work very well indoors.
***Also note the mineral build up around the tops of the pots? I didn’t do a very good job of cleaning out the pots from previous use. This is very important if you are using chemical fertilizers, as salts will accumulate on pots, watering dishes and the like and can cause intermittent problems & issues.
Update! At week 3 from seed, both Purple Cheese Autoflowers have declared female…
