Legal marijuana grow house robbed
A legal marijuana grow house in Northeast Portland was robbed Sunday morning.
One man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a gun by one of the robbers.
According to police, the robbers got away with multiple pounds of processed marijuana.
East Precinct officers responded to a residence in the 9600 block of Northeast Everett Street on the report of a residential robbery at a marijuana grow house at 9:16 a.m., on Jan. 20.
Drug investigators also responded and confirmed that the location is a legal medical marijuana grow site.
When the first officers arrived, they spoke with two victims, a male and a female. A third male victim fled the scene on foot and had not returned.
The male victim told police that he was on the back porch of the grow house when two suspects approached him, one armed with a handgun. The armed suspect struck the male victim with the handgun, then both suspects entered the residence.
The female victim inside locked herself into the bathroom until the suspects fled the location.
After stealing the marijuana, the suspect ran out to a waiting car, where two additional people were waiting.
The two suspects that went into the house are described as white males. The suspects in the car are described as a white male and a white female.
The suspect vehicle is described as an older blue or silver American-made sedan.
The male victim that was hit with the gun was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
None of the victims live at the grow site and it appears that the house is used only to grow marijuana.
