Gentlemen, start your engines.
New Jersey, which has come under fire for dragging their feet at getting their state’s medical marijuana program up and running, has given the green light to Greenleaf Compassion Center in Montclair go begin growing medical marijuana immediately.
Ultimately, six of such locations will exist in the small state, with a list also just released of more than 100 physicians who are authorized to prescribe marijuana for medicinal purposes. You can check out the list here.
The Greenleaf Compassion Center, however, will not have permission to start dispensing the product until they receive their final permits. No word yet on when that is coming, but, it will take 3-4 months for the plants to reap some sellable product, so still a little bit of waiting is required. But, having already waited two years since the initial vote, a few more months can hardly hurt.
Is it about time for medical marijuana in New Jersey? Do you think the state will try to stall further?
