Northern Light Autoflower

Northern Light Autoflower week 6 of flowering under LED grow lights

This was my first encounter with the “legendary” Northern Light strain. For all the hype surrounding this variety, I must say it has instantly become a favorite. This particular Northern Light strain was also a feminized, autoflower version from Nirvana Seeds (Northern Light Autoflower »).

We grew a few, in soil, under a Pro-Grow 260 LED grow light from Hydroponics Hut and the results were nothing less than stellar!

Yield: 3 plants (2 phenotypes. Tall lanky & purple, the other short, bushy with some purpling late in bloom) varied from 36 g, 56 g, and 64 g, of connoisseur quality meds.

Flavor: On the “Tall Purp” pheno, the aroma and flavor is anything but neutral. It is sweet & herbal on the inhale, gentle on the lungs as the spicy/incense undertones become more prevalent. You wish you could hold it in forever, as you reluctantly exhale, you are rewarded with one last aromatic blast of sandalwood and hashish…

The following pics are were just 2 of the 5 seeds. I eagerly look forward to getting the photoperiod northern light seeds as well.

Nirvana Northern Light is a marijuana strain which is highly suited to indoor growing. Of course, this auto-flowering version is also perfect for outdoors. Nearly all promising modern indoor cannabis strains contain Northern Light genes. With its high flower-to-leaf ratio, compact buds, good yields and exceptional resin production, these wonderful marijuana seeds are a most lucrative choice for the professional cannabis grower. The smoke’s flavour is somewhat neutral, yet full-bodied.
