Grow guide for marijuana beginners.

I am continually impressed (and excited) every time I open up the bloom tent. The plants have taken very well to the Pro-Grow 400 – LED grow light, same as last round, but having plants that are more matured going into bloom has made a huge difference in the overall amount of bud growth and bud sizes. Each new visit to the Pro-Grow 400 tent reveals bigger and fatter buds, some of which are only weeks away from harvesting.

The Pro-Grow LED medical marijuana garden begins to fill in.

Blooming along, the Pro-Grow 400 LED garden!

Nirvana Blue Mystic blooms under "LED grow lights"

This Blue Mystic strain is always a pleasure to grow!

Our Blue Mystic “D” is just as impressive and mystical as each past grow with her. This round, she is a dense but compact, well branched “christmas tree”, about as wide as she is tall. She has her classic “dill” aroma, and trichomes galore! At just one month into bloom, the next 4 – 5 weeks should be impressive!

Both Aurora Indica plants (3 & 4) are racing quickly to the finish. I really like this strain and will continue to have cuttings of #3 & #4 for a few more grows. Much akin to their Northern Light heritage, their scent/aroma is very pungent, and like the Afghani in their DNA, they tend to remain very short plants, with little stretch into 12/12. So as I said previously, veg them BIG!

Nearing harvest, Aurora Indica #4 bollos under LED grow lights.

Almost ready to get root flushed, & a pre-harvest trim! Aurora Indica #4, week 8 Bloom.

Aurora Indica #4, is at week 8 of bloom and very close to being ready for harvest. Her fan leaves are showing signs of age & stress. Mg and K deficiencies show through, regardless of the flushing & feeding, it may be in kind to strain trait, I think. Her buds however are continuing to swell & add-on more white hairs & growth, we may let her run 10 weeks… Maybe.

A sweet, sweet smelling Indica!

Aurora Indica #3 features a dense aroma of Fruity Pebbles on steroids.

Not to be out shined is Aurora Indica #3, the larger of the two. Plant #3’s colas are thicker and she shows much less stress or deficiency issues than her sibling, though she was put into bloom a week or two later. Both Aurora plants feature thick, sweet aromas, reminiscent of Northern Light meets Fruity Pebbles cereal.

We have one Aurora Indica seed remaining, I’m looking forward to seeing what it has to offer, but the cuttings from 3 & 4 should suffice us for a while.

Medical Marijuana strain, Blackberry from Nirvana Seeds.

Nirvana's Blackberry is quickly gaining mass, trichomes & aromas!

Only 4 weeks into bloom and Blackberry is looking good! Nirvana’s “Blackberry” description: Blackberry’s mother, Black Domino, was a marijuana clone sent to the Netherlands from the area around Seattle. Its father is Nirvana’s very own Raspberry Cough. Domino’s tight leaf structure has been preserved well in this marijuana hybrid. Nirvana Blackberry smoke is thick and heavy with subtle hints of Asian Sativa flavours. Yields are very good for a strain that already displays so many desirable traits.

Week 5 of bloom for our Jock Horror.

Our Jock (Jack Herer) begins to pack on some gnarly bud growth!

Nirvana’s Jock Horror is a three-way marijuana hybrid of Northern Light, Skunk and Haze = (Jack Herer). Jock Horror produces so much resin that even its branches glisten with THC glands. This marijuana strain’s variety has a unique fresh flavour and packs a strong “up” buzz. Jock Horror cannabis plants will finish budding earlier than the original Jack Herer of a few years ago. This cannabis strain is definitely one of our all-time favorite marijuana seeds. Jock Horror is also available as an Autoflower Version»
