And as week 10 falls upon our Jock Horror, she saw fit to begin putting out male stamen, no “balls” just the occasional “boy banana”. Fortunately we were at about 60% of the trichomes turning cloudy, we are near enough to peak potency and being so close to our week 11 target date, she got chopped! I had hoped to run the bloom as long as I could, 12+ weeks if possible, but things are what they are!
I do have to say things are looking dank! While manicuring the freshly cut colas, I found myself having to change out or clean my scissors & shears every few branches. They are the stickiest Jock I’ve grown to date yet and by far the most delicious smelling, almost a melding of skunk & cotton candy!
Though this Fox-tail Sativa phenotype is quite lanky, I think with the Hydroponics Hut LEDs run a little closer, rather than the maximum distance from the base of the canopy, the colas would have definitely tightened up. No complaints though, as our buds are dense and coated in trichomes all the way down the stems, from the tennis ball sized buds down to the ping-pong ball nuggets. I am eager to see how they fare after drying.
This leaves our Blackberry, at week 10 of budding, as the last plant of the Pro-Grow 400 L.E.D. Bloom Garden… she’s looking ready any day now!
