The 2012 New York Guitar Festival (January 6 – 29) will kick off with a free all-star concert performance of world-renowned composer/producer Brian Eno’s landmark album, Apollo: Atmospheres Soundtracks.

2012 marks the 30th anniversary of Apollo – a mesmerizing album that evokes the wonder and desolation of space with a “rich, deeply moving sonic landscape.” While Apollo originally accompanied footage of the Apollo moon missions as the soundtrack for the documentary For All Mankind, the album stands on its own as a virtuosic, thought-provoking, and groundbreaking work from one of the music industry’s most innovative producers.
